The Band
Michael Jary (Concertina and Caller)

Michael started learning the concertina at school with tuition from Alistair Anderson and cut his teeth as a member of The Pack and Ola (BBC Radio 2 Young Tradition finalists 2000).
He has also played with and called for many other ceilidh bands across the north of England.
In his spare time he works as a freelance sound engineer and is a regular tutor at concertina events.
Nicky Kerslake (Fiddle)

Nicky's love for the fiddle and traditional music began at the age of 5 and she began to learn the violin aged 7.
She has been classically trained as well as having a flair for folk music and has been taught by many folk musicians including Tom McConville.
Nicky is also a classically trained singer, gaining a Diploma of the London College of Music 2 years ago, and has sung with the National Youth Choir of Great Britain.
Marie Wood (Piano Accordion)

Marie has been playing piano accordion since the age of 12. Having self-taught for two years and with the aid of various folk music workshops, she then progressed further to having regular lessons and completed grade V accordion, passing with distinction.
Marie's accordion has MIDI fitted that can be used to great effect to supplement our sound, particularly for our reduced line-ups.
Paul Young (Guitar and Fiddle)

Paul joins us on guitar, melodeon or fiddle and can often be found busking in York.
David Hammond (Piano and Cello)

David plays piano with us and will sometimes bring the cello with him as well.
Abi Sutton (Fiddle)

Abi plays fiddle with the band and is also available for lessons.
Nina Zargoski (Piano)

Nina joins us on piano when she's not busy being a builder or playing with the Liam Robinson Trio
